New Day, New Attitude AND New Clothes
Three big themes for me in 2018 are finding inner peace, finding balance and becoming confident. It’s true clothes help with confidence and motivation and they’re fun 🙂 But inner peace and balancing daily obligations is a much loftier goal. So today I want to focus not only on some of my new favorites in fitness fashion but on 5 simple tips that make for a great day.

I know I’m a cliche, BUT I needed to update my workout clothes in order to jump-start my new fitness plan for 2018. It’s a justified indulgence… right? After scouring the internet and testing out many different brands, here’s what I came up with.
I’m realizing its even more important to understand how food affects my body as I get older. I also don’t have the time or desire to work out for hours anymore, only to be ravenous and eat away all my exercising efforts.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s always a better day when I break a sweat. ALWAYS better (even if just cut on Netflix and do a stretching video on my iPad while I nurse my Madmen addiction) However, at this time in my fitness journey and life, I don’t have to overexert myself in order to feel better.
This past week my husband and I took a short vacay to one of our favorite beachy spots, New Smyrna Beach, Fl. I absolutely LOVE living in the hustle and bustle of Atlanta, but sometimes you just need to trade the highway sounds for the relaxing smell of the ocean breeze.

I never would have known how Reebok reinvented themselves if I hadn’t gone to this amazing power lunch hosted by BLUHAZL. These women are beautiful inside and out! They hosted a soulful and empowering women’s brunch with the idea of redefining sisterhood. Their goal was to bring creative women together and make magic. It worked and I loved it! Check out their blog at www.bluhzl.com. It’s been too cold to exercise outside recently. So Monday I broke in this new gear from the BLUHAZL gift bag. I am a fan of working out at home. It’s effective and efficient. Getting started is always the hardest part 😉 As you can see in the pics below I’m not the most flexible person but I’m working on it.
High Waisted Yoga Pants pair nicely with a Cross Neck Top. I was kinda skeptical of high waisted workout pants, but I can see a clear advantage. They provide a certain amount of conservative coverage while still letting your body breathe. These pants by Beyond yoga and are seriously the softest yoga pants I have ever worn. Perfect for training or lounging. My overall review is that high waist yoga pants have a definite place in my fitness fashion collection.
I have been on the hunt for the best workout clothes. I needed to update my go to pieces. I’ve been wearing my Lululemon stuff for years and I got my money’s worth. This look is by Free People and it has amazing quality and unique design. I love it for yoga and cross training. The capris are so soft and flattering with no “see through” issues ladies. Feel free to stretch and bend how ever you like 😉
