5 simple tips that make for a great day
New Day, New Attitude AND New Clothes
Three big themes for me in 2018 are finding inner peace, finding balance and becoming confident. Its true clothes help with confidence and motivation PLUS they’re fun 🙂 But inner peace and balancing daily obligations is a much loftier goal. So today I want to focus not only on some of my new favorites in fitness fashion but on 5 simple tips that make for a great day.
 Fitness: Mind, Body & Spirit
This morning I went for a walk with a friend. It had been some time since we’d seen each other, and so it was great to catch up. The topics of our conversations vary, but there’s usually some wisdom to be gained. This time she shared her experiences of giving back to the community, and how that brightens up her day.
As we were walking and talking ideas of my own began to form about what makes a great day.  What I might not have shared on my walk, I’ll share with you now.  To me there are 5 simple secrets to a great day:
- Start by moving your body. Stretch. Walk. Dance around. Just do something. Anything.
- Do something nice for someone else.
- Count your blessings.
- Smile! 😃And not just on the outside.  Try to laugh as well.
- Tell your loved ones you love them.
 New brands to know and where to find them
I needed some extra inspiration and motivation to get moving. For me, one new brand to know is Year of Ours. I’m wearing this mock neck Bodie Bra tops, and it is an absolute fave.  I’m digging its “be-in-the-moment” branding.
I found this top and pants at Carbon38.  This was actually my first order from them. Such a great ordering experience with unique pieces like these two. I’m really into the mock neck for skin protection, comfort & function. The style also feels very 90’s, which I love.
Speaking of 90’s style, I’m so obsessed with Nike Airmax 97’s that I have them in 3 different colors!  Without question, they’re my favorite workout shoes right now!

Starting the day by moving sets the tone for the day! I love doing something simple like a 15-minute walk to get the creative juices flowing.
