NYFW Street Style Trends

Hi Friends,

How is everyone? I have been working on a closet detox (or purge) and analyzing my current situation, I realize I am going to start focusing more on staple pieces of clothing that can be styled easily. Last year I was a fashion victim 😉 This year I want to have fun with it whilst being a bit more practical and less impulsive. That being said I want to focus on three of my favorite Fall trends from our fashion week in New York. For me, this is the season’s most wearable street style.

The Sweater Dress

I love a fitted sweater dress. I know it’s more comfortable to wear the over-sized ones but I just don’t find them as flattering. I did size up in this dress so it wasn’t too tight, I am wearing a medium and it’s nice quality for less than $70. You can get this sweater dress HERE but I also love the brown off the shoulder sweater dress HERE. I layered with a high neck crop top so I could easily wear the white booties.

The Pointed Sock Bootie

These are super comfortable and more flattering because of where they hit on the leg. They fit… well, like a sock 🙂 Check them out HERE. White is huge this season! Nothing could make me happier in the world of fashion, as white is my favorite color. (I know it’s a non-color but you get my point.) White heels, white booties and even white eye shadow are everywhere! I am 100% on board with the white shoes. I know some people are not loving it and prefer a softer white but this 80’s/90’s vibe is fun for me.

The Bracelet Bag

I love this bag so much I kinda want it in the larger size. The one pictured is the medium by comparison and perfect in opinion. The smaller size seems too small… you can’t even wear it as a bracelet so what’s the point? I like being hands-free. Side note: I ended up ordering my Simon Miller USA from the UK, just one of life’s little ironies 🙂  I couldn’t find it anywhere in the states. Check it out HERE and HERE for the larger one.
