Denim dress with the d5500 selfie
While my husband was golfing, my yorkies and I hiked around and played with my d5500.
I’m wearing this easy-to-wear little madewell denim dress. Madewell is one of my go to places for the basics. The placement of the cutouts is brilliant. I am pretty addicted to denim of all kinds. I just can’t get enough. This dress can be worn in so many different ways and I can’t wait to try it with boots when the temperature drops.
I’ve been looking for black and gold vintage chanel backpack for stylishly traveling with my camera. When I saw this particular one, I had to have it. It is large enough to use for my camera when we travel and as a day bag. The large front flap is perfect for my phone for easy access. (here is one similar)
I love this little camera. The Nikon D5500 is fun and has a flip screen so you can take selfies. My favorite lens with it is the 50mm 1.4 dx because it is little and light and has a great depth of field. The camera’s Autofocus and tracking work well most of the time. I am still exploring all the features of this camera.
I have a love-hate relationship with the effects/filters, but for portraits and landscapes the high key effect can very pleasing and flattering. It softens the skin with out looking too mushy.
I took all these pics with the D5500 and a remote. I shot in raw plus jpeg. I like to compare the effect of the high key on the jpeg with the raw file. The white balance is usually warmer in the jpeg and for times sake I didn’t adjust it in these images.
