Wardrobe Capsule: Get a Black Matching Set
An all black matching set is a fresh and simple take on a classic look. Black on black is hardly a new idea. And yes, it’s a “master of the obvious” concept, but here’s what I just realized. Nothing pairs better with high-waisted shorts, pants or skirts than an elegantly cropped top. No mid-drift is necessary. And black is the most versatile color. Hence, a well made black matching set is my favorite wardrobe purchase for summer. It’s also in keeping with wardrobe capsule because it lends itself to easy to mix and match options, making it so you don’t need as many pieces of clothes in your closet. I’m all about creating different looks with fewer clothes. Moreover, a black matching set will transition nicely into the fall. I’m so excited that matching sets are making a comeback.

Easy Mix & Match Style Ideas.
Wear the shorts with a white top. Wear the top with anything high-waisted. Almost any skirt, pants, or shorts would look great with this well made and effortless looking top. Bravo Maje.

I’m thrilled matching sets have been making a comeback for several years now. Check out my post on this pattern set from our trip to Santa Monica a couple years ago. While the pattern is pretty, I’ve only worn it as a set, not as separates. As opposed to this black set, which is super easy to style.
