Weekend Casual Wardrobe Capsule

Can a Wardrobe Capsule make it effortless to look put together? Being in my closet and playing around with the different options is something I love to do when time is not an issue, but time often is.  I hate being rushed and being forced to put something together in the heat of the moment, as these hastily strewn together outfits are usually either uncomfortable or unflattering.

My goal is to have simple pieces that pair easily, and this blue top and high-waisted situation actually creates a flattering silhouette without trying too hard.

High-waisted denim is my answer to flattering my curves and looking casual and feeling comfortable. My favorite Karen Millen high-waisted jeans are the ones I bought a few months ago. I bought 2 pairs one I left long for my wedges and the other (as shown in these pics) I cropped into capris with a flair.

This See by Chloe shirt is one of the two off-the-shoulder tops that I purchased this season. The off-the-shoulder look is tricky for me, so I didn’t go nuts with that trend. I like this one because I can wear it on or off the shoulders. Also it’s also just the right length for tucking in.

My absolute favorite comfortable sandals this season have been these Pena Leather Buckle Platform Sandals in tan by Isabel Marant. Neimans has a few sizes left on sale!
