How do you find your style? Retro classic vibes are good building blocks
What are your wardrobe building blocks? I always gravitate to double breasted tailored women’s wear that doesn’t look boring. Taking a nod from the boys is always in. This dress is sold out but I’m attaching two similar styles and one is on sale for less than $50. There are many double breasted shift dresses out there but most are not tailored. I believe we are going to see a rise in classic tailoring.
My styling suggestion is to wear the double breasted dress with a coat that has no buttons. You don’t want your buttons competing with each other. A long wrap coat allows you to wear a double breasted dress with ease. I’m attaching a really well made tan coat thats half off. It’s a wardrobe classic and easy to add a brooch because there is no competing hardware. I love that brooches are back. I’m wearing one that belonged to my grandmother. I also have a new appreciation for the Valentino rock stud, it’s really little pyramids. This makes it feel more classic to me and less rock and roll or maybe it’s the best of both.
