Setting the Table for Autumn
Create a cozy autumn table setting with a few versatile home decor items. Mix and match pieces that you already have with new seasonal updates for a fresh look.
This look came together just in the nick of time. It’s eclectic, edited and aiming for boho chic vibes. I’ve always loved my great grandmother’s silver set and my parents’ wedding crystal glasses. I love being able to mix in family history with new favorites and create an unexpected tablescape.
Style a neutral chic fall tablescape like this using white velvet pumpkins, drift wood wreath, beads, new wave china and old world family silver and crystal.
Did you catch this post about styling the sunroom for autumn? I mentioned how we painted the lighting and hardware white. We did the same with the dining room. I also removed the glass table top and added this wooden one. There’s a great studio in Atlanta if you need any kind of custom work done. Zadai’s Studios. They made this white wood tabletop for me. We had too much going on with the silver hardware and the glass table -too much shine and reflective surfaces. The addition of white wood and whitewashed hardware allows for the other eclectic elements to come together. Chic Neutral Fall Tablescape Tips
Use what you have and mix it up in a fresh new way.
Do you have a wreath? Great! Make that your centerpiece, especially if you have a round table like this one. Throw in some beads (my new decorating obsession) and some dried flowers (or fresh). Dried flowers are awesome for the no maintenance factor, and if you don’t have a green thumb.
Blending styles is easy, as long as you stick to a color palette. Mixing beaded placemats with modern China and my grandmothers silver for a fall tablescape works because the color palette keeps it together.
Just as I enjoy dressing up more than actually going out- I love setting the table much more than cooking. So, I haven’t a clue what we’re going to eat ;) But I sure enjoyed setting the table. Can you relate?
Thanks so much for checking out our fall tablescape.

Keep the table perfect! Eat at the kitchen bar and enjoy the dining room view. Love the repose silver and crystal blended with the new additions. The old may be timeless but a placelift doesn’t hurt!
